Crabs Collect 13-9 Win Over Sloths
The rain came, as predicted, but the Providence Crabs and San Antonio Sloths were able to complete their ballgame.

Providence defeated San Antonio, 13-9, in large part due to two-time Gold Glove Award winner Seymour Baltz. Baltz drove in 5 runs. The right fielder had 1 double and 2 home runs for the Crabs. Justin Ferb, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-1. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings.

Providence used a timely hit from Boyz II Chess Back Again to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 12th inning to put the Crabs ahead, 9-8. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Exciting game to play in," said Baltz. "Getting the win makes it even better."

With the win, the Crabs hiked their record to 62-39.
