Seattle Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
|
The Seattle Sea Serpents dealt the Indianapolis Apex a 5-4 loss at The Aquadome. Gator McGraw, who finished 5th in the Champions in batting average with .305 last year, was the star on offense. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. With this game in the books, Seattle is 38-64, Indianapolis 52-50.
Jim Hawkins was the walk-off hero for Seattle. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Sea Serpents right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," McGraw said.
