The Buffalo Surge topped the Death Valley Scorpions, 5-3, in Legends Conference action at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Buffalo pitcher Rotgut Whiskey. Luther MacIntosh was credited with the save, his 2nd in 3 tries. The Surge are now 43-44, while the Scorpions fall to 47-40.

Buffalo took a 5-1 lead on Kerry Keli's 17th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Death Valley pitcher Bandit Keith in the top of the seventh.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Whiskey said.
