The Detroit Demons did just enough to secure a victory over the Death Valley Scorpions, 4-3, at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Korrin Abernathy Jr.. Thorne Belfour earned his 10th save in 10 tries. The Demons, now 45-44, have won 4 in a row.

Detroit used a well-timed hit by Danger Dollarson to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Demons ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Dollarson said.
