In a tight contest between the Outer Banks Aviators and the Buffalo Surge, Wombat Jones was the determining factor. The Outer Banks left-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. Getting the save was Zach Voss, his 8th. Outer Banks goes to 56-49, Buffalo to 43-62.
Bazooka Slow had a big run-scoring double for the Aviators in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Outer Banks leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from J.C. Swishman, who finished 4th in the Legends in ERA with 2.76 in 2073, and swatted a double to left. It was his 37th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aviators ahead, 3-1.
