The New York Voyagers had to overcome a big game from Providence second baseman Migs Mayfeld to leave The Pot with a victory. And they did, winning, 10-9. Mayfeld went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Big Rooster closed the game out for New York, earning his 12th save. New York now has a record of 72-33 with the win.

New York needed the clutch hitting of Kanutake MeHire to seal the deal. The left fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Voyagers on top, 9-8. For the game, MeHire had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
