Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Death Valley Scorpions and Cancun Toros.
The Death Valley Scorpions stopped the Cancun Toros, 6-4, at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. The Scorpions got a big game from M4XX P0W3R, who went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs. Death Valley pitcher Ole Serve It Up got the win, upping his record to 1-4. Wayne Wheeler got the loss.
The Scorpions got a big at-bat from third baseman Brandbil Ostman. For the game, Ostman went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 23rd double of the season gave Death Valley a 4-1 lead.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Ostman told the Death Valley Chronicle.
With the win, the Scorpions improved to 39-52.
