The home crowd had a good time watching the Seattle Sea Serpents and Nashville Stars get after it.

Nashville turned a good effort from starter Tugg Boat into a win over the Seattle Sea Serpents at Gibson Soundstage. The Stars won the game, 5-2. Boat picked up the win for Nashville, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0.

The Stars got a big at-bat from right fielder J.B. Rainier. For the game, Rainier went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Nashville a 3-1 lead.

"Main thing is I want the team to win," Boat told a reporter after the game. "Just have to go out there, take care of my job, and give my team a chance to win."

The Stars, now 13-3, have had a terrific start to the season.
