Scorpions Take Tight Tangle
Death Valley registered a win at Cari Price Memorial Stadium by beating the Nashville Stars, 4-3. Pitcher Deviver Votto was one reason why the Scorpions triumphed. Bandit Keith claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record stands at 2-1. Early on, the Scorpions, at 12-4, have played an impressive brand of baseball.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 13th for Death Valley. That's when Stelle, who is tied for 4th in the Champions in runs scored with 13, hit a run-scoring double off Tugg Boat to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"The ending was a real humdinger," Stelle told reporters after the game.
