The Outer Banks Aviators relied on the hitting of right fielder Shrimp McDaniel to stop the Providence Crabs, 10-6. For the game, McDaniel went 1-2 with a triple and 3 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. This loss makes it 12 in a row for Providence.

McDaniel contributed a big hit, a bases-clearing triple, for Outer Banks in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 3-2, McDaniel took a fastball from Cash Considerations and stroked the triple to center. His 1st triple of the season allowed the Aviators to leap in front, 5-3.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," McDaniel told the Outer Banks Daily News.
