The Death Valley Scorpions beat the New Orleans Rougarous, 8-4, at Full Moon Stadium. Death Valley first baseman Launch Angle had an outstanding performance. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Death Valley is second in the Champions Conference West with a record of 60-47.

With Death Valley leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Angle hit a cutter from Brian Eshleman III for a run-scoring double. It was his 34th double of the season and put the Scorpions ahead, 3-1.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said New Orleans manager .
