Raptors Win 2-1 Walk-Off
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Boise Raptors and the Toronto Pathfinders, pitcher Femini Nomenon was the difference between victory and defeat. The Boise left-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 Raptors win. Wade Cilliams Jr. earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record is now 5-2. The triumph puts Boise at 57-35 for the season.
The Raptors procured the win, in large part because of catcher Jeff Hopkins. In the bottom of the 11th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Hopkins. "And not try to do too much."
