|
New York Voyagers starter Professor Croakwell turned in a top-notch performance against the Buffalo Surge at The Power House. The result was a win for the Voyagers, 4-2. Croakwell yielded 2 runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 8-10. Earning his 19th save of the year was Ransom Jones.
New York used a clutch at-bat from Nolan Tegge to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Voyagers ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Tegge.
New York is now 74-33, 8½ games up in the Legends Conference East.
