Aviators Prevail, 5-3, Over Buffalo
|
Outer Banks beat Buffalo on the strength of starting pitcher Sniper King's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. The Surge, now 44-64, have lost 5 in a row.
Rachel Morimura dealt the Surge a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Outer Banks leading 3-0, Morimura, who is tied for 5th in the Legends with a .311 batting average, hit a 1-1 slider for a 2-run single.
"It was a good effort all around," said Morimura.
