Vandals Win Thriller, 6-4

The Vancouver Vandals electrified the crowd with a walk-off win.
The Vancouver Vandals faced a tough opponent in New Orleans pitcher Brian Eshleman Jr., but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Scudder Forty-Three Stadium by a final score of 6-4. Eshleman Jr. went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. New Orleans has now lost 4 consecutive games.
Vancouver won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With one out and Baron Samedi on the mound for New Orleans, third baseman Quinten de Jong hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Vandals fans to their feet.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Vancouver manager .
