Bears Score Late to Nip Lemurs, 6-5

The Brew City Bears defeated the Louisville Lemurs, 6-5, in 10 innings. J.B. Rainier, who is tied for 4th in the MiLPBE in total bases with 171, played a big role. Rainier was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk for the Bears in the win. "Fire" Aaron Boone, who leads the MiLPBE in saves with 17, was the winner in relief. His record is now 6-3. The losing pitcher was Gunther Gerhardt. With the victory, the Bears upped their record to 54-28.
The Bears got a clutch hit from center fielder Videl Valor III. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Bears.
"This game had its share of tense moments," Rainier said, postgame.
