Armadillos Collect 2-1 Win Over Swift Steeds
State College pitcher Leo Gonzalez gave the Armadillos all they could handle, but in the end, Amarillo left Count Longardeaux's Strong Badian Dictionary Fo' My Own Words Stadium with a win, 2-1. Gonzalez allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 6 innings. Amarillo reliever Big Rooster picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Jackson Ramirez shouldered the loss. With the victory, the Armadillos upped their record to 50-32.

Amarillo used the clutch hitting of Marcus Otatop to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Armadillos ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"It feels good to get this one," Otatop told the Amarillo Today.
