Cena IV Shines in 6-2 Amarillo Win
|
The Amarillo Armadillos defeated the Chicago Kingpins, 6-2, at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium today. Leading the charge for Amarillo was center fielder Rob Cena IV. He went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Amarillo starter Matt Hunter was credited with the win after throwing 89 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 6-8. The Armadillos' win now puts them at 36-46.
Jordan Love, the 22-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Love contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the third inning to put Amarillo up, 2-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Love told the Amarillo Citizen.
