The home crowd had a good time watching the Buffalo Surge and Detroit Demons get after it.

The Detroit Demons got a stellar performance from pitcher Bogenbay Batyr, who handcuffed the Buffalo offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Demon's Lair at Laser Park. Frigg Delling earned his 13th save in 15 chances.

The Demons got a big at-bat from catcher Leonidas Ruiz. For the game, Ruiz went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Detroit a 4-1 lead.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Ruiz told the Detroit Citizen.
