Wheelers 7-1 Winners Over Puerto Rico
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Anchorage Wheelers and Puerto Rico Ranas.

Anchorage pitcher Wham A Geddon had a large part in his team beating the Puerto Rico Ranas, 7-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Geddon got the win, improving to 5-4. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. He allowed 1 run.

Anchorage used a well-timed hit by Rex Jordan to capture the win. The right fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Wheelers ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

Geddon told a Anchorage Chronicle reporter that the win made him feel "upbeat about our team."

Anchorage goes to 37-46, Puerto Rico to 19-64.
