Flamingos Roll Past Kingpins, 6-1
|
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Florida Flamingos take on the Chicago Kingpins.
Moe Mentum never let the Kingpins get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his changeup, to pitch the Flamingos to a win, 6-1. Florida is now 48-36, 4 games up in the East Division.
Jimmy Lumber helped out the Florida cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop was 2-4 with 2 singles.
Lumber attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
