Armadillos Get Hard-Earned Win
Both teams had their chances, but the Amarillo Armadillos eventually prevailed.

The Amarillo Armadillos topped the Kansas City Hepcats, 7-6, with youngster Cianán Muirchertach playing a key role. Muirchertach was 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Armadillos in the win. Tayalamp Battalemo locked down his 7th save.

Bill Slamsquatch came through with a big-time hit for Amarillo. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 7-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Muirchertach.

With the win over Kansas City, the Armadillos improved to 41-43.
