The California Firehawks picked up a win at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons, downing the State College Swift Steeds , 5-1. On the mound for California was left-hander Massive Unit, who played a pivotal role in the win. Mid AtBest notched his 4th save in 4 chances. California is now 39-45, while State College is 43-41.

Coleman Carver had a big 2-run double for the Firehawks in the bottom of the first inning. With California leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a sinker from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Mann Person and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Firehawks ahead, 3-0.

Carver told a California Today reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
