With first baseman Link Althouse leading the charge, the Florida Flamingos defeated the Brew City Bears, 4-3, at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House. Althouse, who is tied for 6th in the MiLPBE in hits with 109, went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. Florida reliever George Georgeas picked up the win, upping his record to 8-5. Freddy Fordham was saddled with the loss. Matt Kumtowski got the save, his 8th in 10 chances.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Althouse delivered big-time for Florida, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Freddy Fordham. The game-changing hit put the Flamingos on top, 4-3.

Althouse said his team "played with focus."

With the win, Florida raised its record to 51-31.
