Wheelers Get Past Chicago for 3-2 Win
|
Behind the hitting of Rachel Morimura, the Anchorage Wheelers stopped the Chicago Kingpins, 3-2. Morimura was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk for the Wheelers. Chicago has now lost 4 in a row.
Morimura had a game-changing double in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-1 fastball from Skooma Skooma-kun, he banged a run-scoring double to left, giving the Wheelers a 3-2 lead. It was the 10th double of the year for Morimura.
"I know we have our doubters," said Chicago manager . "But I still have high hopes for this team."
