State College Swift Steeds starter Maurice Bernard turned in a sterling performance against the Anchorage Wheelers, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. State College raised its record to 49-34 with the win.

Manny Alou contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a double. It was one at-bat that helped State College get the win.

"We found a way to get it done," Alou said.
