The Amarillo Armadillos topped the Puerto Rico Ranas by the score of 6-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to third baseman Commander Warsmoke. Warsmoke was 4-5 with 4 singles for the Armadillos on the day. Aaron Ritter, the winning pitcher, improved to 9-8. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. The win gives Amarillo a season record of 42-42.
Veggie Monster, the 21-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Monster contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put Amarillo up, 3-1.
