The California Firehawks withstood a fine game by Florida center fielder Gator McGraw at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons, to upend the Flamingos, 6-5. McGraw went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win puts California at 51-36 this season.

California got a knockout punch from Maverick Tonyon. The third baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"He who laughs last laughs best," Tonyon said, postgame.
