Squires Helps Anchorage Cruise to 11-3 Win
Cameron Squires knocked in 4 runs to help Anchorage beat Florida, 11-3. The Canada native tallied 2 singles and 1 home run. Smoki Zazaki was the winner. He's now 9-7. The loser was 20-year old right-handed pitcher Doc Rock. Andre Pope was credited with the save, his 3rd in 5 tries.

Anchorage used a well-timed hit by Slime Sluggerton to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Wheelers ahead, 4-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"The credit goes to our offense," said Anchorage manager .
