The Brew City Bears took Florida pitcher Taylor Adkins's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House. The final score had Brew City getting past the Flamingos, 5-4. Adkins went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 2. Brew City reliever Bryce Wheeler was the winner. His record is now 3-4. Flaming O'ter took the loss. The win makes Brew City 39-45.

The United States-born Thicker Thick McThicc came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Bears trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single to left to put Brew City on top.

"Enjoyed this one," McThicc told the Brew City Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
