The Firehawks faced a stiff challenge from State College pitcher Oze Bones, but persevered to claim a win at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons. The final score was 2-1. Bones went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs. Josenacio Slothnacion, now 10-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 4 hits in 2.2 innings. Capsaicin Shrub recorded the save for California, his 7th of the season.

California second baseman Bass Reeves contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 100th hit of the season and put the Firehawks ahead, 2-0.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Reeves.

State College now has a 9-game losing streak.
