Florida Man Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Florida Flamingos and Anchorage Wheelers.
The Florida Flamingos beat the Anchorage Wheelers, 6-5. Florida pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, native Lilo Pelekai led the way. Florida reliever Matt Kumtowski was the winner. His record is now 8-1. Reed Rothchild took the loss.
Chase Hunter, who is the 3rd-best prospect in the Flamingos organization, aided the Florida cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the third. For the game, the left fielder went 2-4 with 2 singles.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Pelekai.
The Flamingos go to 42-43, putting them second in the East Division.
