Fans watched the Vancouver Vandals and the San Antonio Sloths fight to the finish.

The Vancouver Vandals faced a tough opponent in San Antonio pitcher Starburns Glorbenspeel, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Scudder Forty-Three Stadium by a final score of 5-4. Glorbenspeel went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Vancouver reliever Clay Homes picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Nathan Abel shouldered the loss. M4XX V3L0 finished to wrap up his 2nd save.

New York-born Steven Strange came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Vandals trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single to left to put Vancouver on top.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Strange told the Vancouver Daily News.

The Vandals, now 2-0, have been playing some good baseball.
