Ranas Fall Short, 4-3, at Amarillo
|
Amarillo starter Harold Smith pitched well against the Puerto Rico Ranas at The Burrow Presented by the PBE Bigger Strange Pod. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. The losing streak for Puerto Rico has now reached 5 games.
Kries Von Kriestalhauser went 2-3 with 2 singles for Amarillo. The 21-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Harry Berry. It was his 52nd RBI of the season.
"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Von Kriestalhauser.
