Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Hepcats
The Kansas City Hepcats had to overcome a fine performance from Amarillo pitcher Zoe D'yak to grab a 3-1 win at The Evil Dictator x Jose Forty-Three Best Friendship Ballpark. D'yak allowed no runs over 7 innings. Juan Legacypoint picked up the win in relief for Kansas City, while Big Rooster took the loss. Earning the save was Lieutenant Dudz. He's now cashed in 10 of 18 save opportunities.

Had Gibson Doubleneck not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Doubleneck hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Hepcats.

"Every loss hurts," said Amarillo manager . "But this was a tough one."

Kansas City, at 47-41, sits in second place in the West Division.
