Late Magic Gets State College 5-3 Win
|
The State College Swift Steeds beat the Amarillo Armadillos, 5-3, at The Burrow Presented by the PBE Bigger Strange Pod. The win was due in part to second baseman Ulysses Ballion, who went 2-4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. State College reliever Gabriel Priest picked up the win, upping his record to 3-4. UNUNUN AWOOOOOOORXT shouldered the loss. Blain K'Spais earned the save, his 10th, for the Swift Steeds .
Ballion had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-1 fastball from UNUNUN AWOOOOOOORXT, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Swift Steeds a 5-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Ballion.
"I had some good swings out there," said Ballion.
With the win, the Swift Steeds have a record of 55-31.
