The Brew City Bears spoiled a good performance by Louisville catcher Cal Covid, bumping off Louisville, 6-4, at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House. Covid was 4-6 with 4 singles. Brew City is 50-39 and Louisville, with the loss, 52-37.
The defining moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Brew City. That's when Vumion Stitcherson hit a 2-run home run off 21-year old left-handed pitcher Josh Harper to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
In postgame comments, Stitcherson said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
