Payne Socks 2 Home Runs in 13-5 Amarillo Win
|
The 13-5 Amarillo win over California was due largely to Brian Payne. The Armadillos catcher went 3-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 7 RBI and scoring twice. The first-place Armadillos have a one-game lead in their division.
Amarillo grabbed a 6-5 lead in the top of the eighth when Odin CheekiSon hit a run-scoring single. For the day, CheekiSon went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 3 times.
