Hepcats Lose, 6-5, at The Mound
|
The Florida Flamingos had to overcome a big game from Kansas City first baseman Feka Ohi Kau to leave The Mound with a victory. And they did, winning 6-5. Kau went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Florida reliever Flaming O'ter picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Definitelynot Kevinchoate absorbed the loss. Florida is now 43-43, while Kansas City is 52-34.
In the bottom of the fifth, Florida third baseman Amy Forty-Three had a big at-bat. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a run-scoring single. For the game, Forty-Three was 1 for 3 with a hit by pitch, while adding 2 RBI.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Kansas City manager . "The effort was great."
