Fans watched the Amarillo Armadillos and the California Firehawks fight to the finish.

In a low-scoring game between Amarillo and California, pitcher Marsh Mellow Jr. was excellent. The Amarillo right-hander helped his team knock off the Firehawks, 1-0. Amarillo is in 4th place in the West Division with a record of 42-47.

Marsh Mellow Jr. was masterful. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings.

"Marsh had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Amarillo manager .
