Hepcats Strike Down Wheelers, 9-2

Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good.
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 22-year old center fielder Wyatt Whittle, the Kansas City Hepcats defeated the Anchorage Wheelers, 9-2. The Hepcats, now 49-40, have won 4 in a row.
Niklavs Stavinskis had a big 3-run home run for the Hepcats in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Kansas City trailing 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a cutter from fireballing 6' 8" right-hander Scud Muffin and swatted a home run to center. It was his 12th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Hepcats ahead, 4-2.
"It never gets old," said Whittle. "Winning, that is."
