Hepcats Pull Off Thrilling 6-4 Win in Extras
|
Florida got a terrific game from second baseman Beau Nappeteat. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Kansas City, 6-4. Nappeteat was 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Chris T-Shirtcutter, 5-3, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. With the victory, the Hepcats upped their record to 53-34.
Kansas City needed the clutch hitting of Feka Ohi Kau to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Hepcats on top, 6-4. For the game, Kau had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We'll put that win in the can," said Kau, "and go after the next one."
