Swift Steeds Get Past Brew City for 4-3 Win
|
The State College Swift Steeds defeated the Brew City Bears, 4-3, at Count Longardeaux's Strong Badian Dictionary Fo' My Own Words Stadium. State College catcher Bandit Heeler had a superb performance. He was 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Bandit Keith, now 7-6, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. The third-place Swift Steeds have won 5 in a row.
Ulysses Ballion drove in one run for State College. The 24-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Alejandro Abasi. It was his 40th RBI of the season.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said State College manager .
