Armadillos Make Swift Steeds 5-3 Losers
|
The Amarillo Armadillos trumped the State College Swift Steeds , 5-3, at Count Longardeaux's Strong Badian Dictionary Fo' My Own Words Stadium. Amarillo catcher Lestat de Lioncourt was terrific. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Trongle Man, now 4-1, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1. Amarillo has now won 4 games in a row.
In the top of the seventh, de Lioncourt put his team in front with his 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came against Twain Teetoo, made it 5-2, Amarillo.
de Lioncourt told a Amarillo Daily reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
