Kingpins Walk It Off for 51st Win of Season
|
Thanks in large part to left fielder Toby Rodrigo, the Chicago Kingpins clipped the Amarillo Armadillos, 4-2, in 11 innings. Rodrigo was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. By defeating Amarillo, the third-place Kingpins improved to 51-40.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With no one out, Rodrigo hit a fastball from Brett Dusinberre for a 2-run home run. The Kingpins, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Rodrigo said.
