Amarillo right-hander Hugh Jazz pitched his team to victory over the Puerto Rico Ranas at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium. The final score was 5-1. The slumping Ranas have dropped 7 in a row.

Amarillo used the timely hitting of Axel Babineaux to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Armadillos on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
