Wheelers Take Nail-Biter Over Swift Steeds
The State College Swift Steeds wasted an impressive 7.1-inning effort from starter Bug Chingus, falling, 2-1, to the Anchorage Wheelers in 13 innings at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. Colton Klein got credit for the win, improving to 4-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. With the win, Anchorage has a record of 42-50. State College falls to 50-42.

The Wheelers got a clutch hit from third baseman Enrique Checo. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Wheelers.

"This win should put a little bounce in our step," said Checo.
