Swift Steeds Win at California, 4-2
|
The State College Swift Steeds tallied a win at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons, throttling the California Firehawks, 4-2. Starting pitcher Froggy Dubois was a big reason for his team's success. In 6 innings, Dubois surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Ultra Nium recorded his 4th save for State College.
The Swift Steeds got a big at-bat from third baseman Willy Whacker. For the game, Whacker went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 14th home run of the season gave State College a 2-0 lead.
"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said State College manager . "That's what Froggy is right now."
