Wheelers Send Kansas City Home with 3-1 Loss
|
Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo was the site of a tense game between the Kansas City Hepcats and Anchorage Wheelers.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Anchorage Wheelers and the Kansas City Hepcats, 22-year old right-handed pitcher Wham A Geddon was the difference-maker. The Anchorage right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Geddon picked up the win for Anchorage, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 6-9.
The Wheelers got a big at-bat from catcher D.B. Barnum. For the game, Barnum was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Anchorage a 2-0 lead.

The third-place Hepcats have lost 4 consecutive games.
