Puerto Rico Ranas starter Ribbit Ribbit turned in an exceptional performance against the Anchorage Wheelers at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium, resulting in a Puerto Rico win, 3-2. The winner was Puerto Rico reliever Jerry Berry, now 4-2. The loser was Willie MacDougal. Punish Vandals converted his 4th save in 6 tries.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Scoops Cunningham contributed a big hit for the Ranas. With Puerto Rico trailing 2-1, he hammered a solo home run.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Anchorage skipper , "and it cost us."

Puerto Rico, with the win, climbs to 31-60.
