The Brew City Bears beat the Amarillo Armadillos, 7-5, at The Burrow Presented by the PBE Bigger Strange Pod. The win was due in part to catcher Taco, who was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 4. Brew City reliever Bryce Wheeler was credited with the win, to go to 4-6. Chatty Johnson took the loss for Amarillo. The Bears' win now puts them at 45-46.
Taco had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 0-2 changeup from Chatty Johnson, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Bears a 7-5 lead. It was the 15th home run of the year for Taco.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Taco.
