Kansas City beat State College at The Evil Dictator x Jose Forty-Three Best Friendship Ballpark, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to center fielder Hoy Four. He was 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Dennis Martinez, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 11th save. The Hepcats have an impressive 59-35 record.

Four contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Kansas City get the win.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Four, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
