Brew City and Kansas City duked it out and the Bears came out victorious.

The Brew City Bears topped the Kansas City Hepcats, 6-3, at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good. Brew City shortstop Thomas Sankara was a spark plug for the offense. He went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Masahiro Sato, the winning pitcher, is now 10-8. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits, while fanning 1 and walking 4.

Sankara contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Brew City in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-1, Sankara took a cutter from Christian Summers and stroked the home run to right-center. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Bears to leap in front, 4-2.

Brew City manager said his team played a "no nonsense" game.

The first-place Bears have won 5 consecutive games.
