Anchorage beat Amarillo on the strength of starter Oilohnroc Yttef's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Yttef went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 8-9. At 52-40, the Wheelers are currently second in the West Division.
Anchorage relied on the hitting of Himiko Toga to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Wheelers on top, 3-1. For the game, Toga had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
