Puerto Rico turned a good effort from starter Batting Practice into a win over the Anchorage Wheelers at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium. The final score was 5-2. Practice got the win, improving to 2-6. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Practice allowed 2 runs. Kerr Mitt recorded the save, his 1st.
The Ranas got a big at-bat from first baseman Pcott Soe. For the game, Soe went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Puerto Rico a 3-2 lead.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Soe.
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Puerto Rico.
