The Kansas City Hepcats knocked off the Brew City Bears, 8-5, at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House. Kif Kroker was a big reason Kansas City won. The catcher was 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Jofre Pines snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-2 on the season. Lots-o'-Heineken Bear [BOT] suffered the loss. Today's win puts Kansas City at 52-44, while Brew City falls to 57-39.
With the game tied, 5-5, in the top of the seventh, Kroker had a key at-bat for Kansas City. With the bases loaded, Kroker hit a 2-run single off Lots-o'-Heineken Bear [BOT], making the score 7-5, Hepcats.
