The Anchorage Wheelers could not turn a fine performance from shortstop Slime Sluggerton into a win. Instead, the Chicago Kingpins prevailed, 8-5. Sluggerton went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win went to Aventurine in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Pickle Riedemann took the loss. Chicago is now 48-48.
