Getting an impressive start from Mann Person, State College beat Amarillo by the score of 6-1. The win elevated the Swift Steeds to 56-41.
State College first baseman Brian Taylor contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a curveball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 116th hit of the season and put the Swift Steeds ahead, 2-1.
