Florida Tacks 3-2 Loss on Kansas City
|
Florida turned a good effort from starter Animal Kingdom into a win over the Kansas City Hepcats at Florida Man Park. The Flamingos won the game, 3-2. Kingdom, now 11-7, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 4, and allowing 2 runs. The loss makes Kansas City 45-52.
Brianna Rose Sabor had a big 2-run home run for the Flamingos in the bottom of the third inning. With Florida leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a screwball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Elijah Miller and punished it. The result was his 17th home run of the season, which put the Flamingos on top, 3-0.
"Animal giving us the start that he did was huge," said Florida manager .
