A 5-RBI performance from the 22-year old second baseman Sidney Hughes helped the Amarillo Armadillos beat the Louisville Lemurs, 5-2. Picking up the win was Flop Quads. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 5 and walked 0. Amarillo now has a record of 59-35 with the win.

Hughes came through with some timely hitting for Amarillo. With Louisville trailing 1-0 in the top of the sixth, Hughes hit a 1-1 fastball for a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season made it 3-1, Amarillo.

Hughes attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
